Day 1 of your 3 Days gorilla safari Bwindi: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a leisurely breakfast, depart from Entebbe or Kampala for your 3 Days gorilla trekking safari Bwindi. Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kampala-Masaka – Mbarara – Kabale route. In your comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser or Safari Van, enjoy the stunning countryside and have an en-route stop visit at Uganda Equator crossing in Kayabwe.
Take photos at the Equator and after, enjoy your lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre. After the lunch break, continue to Southwestern Uganda where Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is found a home to a section of 1063 mountain gorillas that are left on the planet today. Day 2 of your 3 Days gorilla trekking safari Bwindi: Embark on a gorilla trek adventure in Bwindi
Report to Bwindi park offices after you have had a leisurely breakfast. Have an early morning briefing on gorilla trekking rules and regulations by the park official. The park office will put you into groups of 8 people, each assigned to a habituated gorilla family group. Bwindi shelters over 20 habituated Gorilla groups and these are found in the park’s 4 gorilla trekking sectors; Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo, and Rushaga.
Go trek mountain gorillas starting at 8:00 am with a park guide and this may take you from 2 to 6 hours. A maximum of one hour is allowed for you to stay with mountain gorillas once you have met them. You will take photos, explore in-depth about their daily behaviors, and later, return to get a gorilla trekking certificate at the park offices then proceed for a lunch break at the lodge.
Get some relaxation and later in the evening, go visit the Batwa Community. You will be entertained by the Batwa pygmies as they dance or perform before you, learn more about their cultures, traditions, and a lot more.
