Detailed 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari (Uganda)
- Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, our guide/driver, will come to collect you from hotel in Kampala at around 8 am and straight hit the road to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will make several stops on the road and the first is at the Equator to take some photographs.
Other stop over will be because of either a spotted green scene worth to take some pictures and the crater lakes on our way to the park. Next stop should be at Mbarara at Agip Motel for lunch.
From there, you will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park as you marvel at the breath-taking scenery, tea plantations, the open grasslands, long horned Ankole cattle, the woodlands and the rift valley escarpments not forgetting the terrain of the road. You will experience a game drive in the evening as you drive in for your accommodation and dinner.

Day 2 of the 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari (Uganda): Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start an early day with an early cup of tea/ coffee, before embarking on an early morning game drive along the Queen’ mile and the Kasenyi trail. On this trail, you will be able to spot the largest mammals including the Elephants, Lion, leopard, buffalos.
You will also have a chance to see other groups of animals including; Uganda kobs, warthogs. And if you are a bird’s lover, you will have a chance as well to spot as many bird’s species as possible in this Park. Return for breakfast plus lunch at the lodge.
Its optional, after breakfast, you can return for another game drive or just relax in your lodge as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2 hours’ boat ride on the Kazinga channel where you will encounter Buffalos, elephants, hippos, kobs, plus warthogs among others. This ride will also enable you to see an array of birds. After then you will return to your lodge/campsite for dinner and overnight

Day 3 of the 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari (Uganda): Queen Elizabeth- Kampala
With wonderful memories of a busy previous day, you will have a hefty breakfast, then prepare for a primate walk; have lunch at the splendid kingfisher lodge before continuing back to Kampala.
However, visiting the Igongo cultural village is an experience that shouldn’t be missed. This will give you a chance to observe the cultural attachment of the Ankole tribe, the habitats of this area.
More About Queen Elizabeth National Park
The park covers an area of about 1978 km2. Its position provides a magnificent view of the Rift Valley floor that occupies Lake Edward and Gorge. It is well known to be habitat of about 95 mammals along with 612 species of birds. Formerly, a historian known as Douglas Willocks talked about the various features that lead to the formation of the Park in 1952
This area was strategically located with a stunning view of mount Rwenzori, the plains and the campsite jagged mass of mountains that are god for activities such as hiking. On the other side of lake Edward, there is a famous hill known as Mitumbe that looks out to Congo.
Its beauty is signified with changing colors from blue to green, with gentle slopes, distant and this makes it become the center of darkness in Africa. The eastern part of the park is characterized with peaceful green escarpments that is acquired from the western rift valley. The features are well covered with Savannah making it a beautiful place full of nature euphorbia trees
The park is so extensive further more adjacent to the other protected areas. For instance, Kigezi covering an area of about 256 km2 and Kyambura with about 152 km2 wildlife set aside. the other area is Kalinzu Forest Reserve that adjoins to DRC with about 200 km2 along Virunga National Park. Rwenzori National Park is about a few Kilometers to the North of park
Queen Elizabeth National Park has one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any national park in the world, over 500 different species about 100 mammal species. The grassland plains support a variety of wildlife safari animals which can be viewed from vehicle on the network tracks designated in the park. About 20 predators are found in the park such as Lions, Leopards side stripped jackal and spotted hyena among others
Common antelope species include; the kob, bush buck, topi and water buck. Other animals which can be spotted at Mweya Peninsular are; Buffalos, elephants, warthogs and hippos. There are also various primate species are available in the park including chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons among others. The Ishasha area is famously known for its tree climbing lions an it is also known to host the world’s highest concentration of hippos
