Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Day 2 of the 5 Days gorilla trekking Rwanda primates tour: Gorilla Trekking Experience
This is the first day to experience the wild since you came. After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters- Kinigi for a briefing about the endangered mountain gorilla trekking by the park warden.
Along with your trekking gear enough drinking water, and packed lunch, the driver will drop you off at the starting point to trek the gorillas together with the ranger guide. This activity may take between 1-8 hours searching for the gorilla depending on their movement.
However, by meeting them, is so rewarding and you will spend a maximum of an hour with the up close in their natural habitat, take your time observing them as you study them go on with their daily life. Take as many pictures and videos as your camera film can hold
After spending your time with this fascinating mountain gorillas, return to the base or starting point and meet up with your driver to take you back to your lodge for either lunch or refreshen.
After lunch depending on the time, you got done with trekking, you may opt for a cultural walk to Iby iwachu Cultural village a Non-profit Umbrella Organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park through provision of conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihoods-based projects.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and transfer to Nyungwe National Park with stopover at Lake Kivu. Enjoy the morning breeze at the shores of the lake, this is like an hour drive to Rubavu.
Spend approximately an hour there and then return on the road to proceed with your 4-5 hours drive to Nyungwe National Park with lunch en route. Nyungwe forest Is the oldest and largest forest rain forest in East Africa.
Arrive in the park in the late afternoon and straight head to your lodge to check in. you will have time to relax as your reminiscence for the tomorrow’s events. Later have your dinner and rest

Day 4 of the 5 Days gorilla trekking Rwanda primates tour: Chimpanzee Trekking and Afternoon Canopy Walk
After an early breakfast, brace yourself for another tiresome yet exciting experience. Go for briefing about the endangered chimpanzee before entering the forest in search of the active playful fellows in Nyungwe forest.
The chimpanzees are much easier to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee trekking usually takes 3 hours. On finding them, spend an hour while taking pictures and videos.
You will then return to the starting line and meet up with your guide to drive you back to your lodge for lunch and refreshing. After lunch, you will go on a walk-a swing bridge 50 meters in length that Is suspended from large trees.
You will be able to see the amazing rain forest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you. Before night fall, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight
